Agree the scope
Name the sources and batches included in this move, and list what is deliberately excluded or still inaccessible. A migration can be complete for a defined subset without being the entire household collection. Do not use a total file count as a substitute for knowing which sources those files represent.
Require several kinds of evidence
Check that accepted files are retrievable, that an independent recovery arrangement exists and that the intended recipient can perform their task. Inspect the archive readme outside the usual gallery. None of these observations replaces the others. A well-presented album can still lack original files, while a complete disk copy can still be incomprehensible to the next helper.
Keep cleanup separate
Acceptance of a new arrangement is not automatic permission to delete every old source. Consider remaining exceptions, independent-copy roles and any records that only exist in the old system. Make destructive cleanup a separate deliberate decision with a recoverable plan. This publication never asks you to delete original photos to demonstrate success.

Write which sources are accepted, which observations support that decision and which exceptions remain. Keep the independent-copy and recipient checks separately named. Avoid an all-or-nothing claim when only a defined subset was moved. This statement becomes the starting point for the next review and helps a future maintainer understand why old sources were retained rather than treating them as unexplained clutter.
