What pCloud is: storage, sync and sharing in one account
pCloud is cloud storage for files and photos: you keep them in an online account, sync them across devices and share them by link. It is sold monthly, yearly or as a one-time Lifetime plan, with a free Basic account.

pCloud Drive is the desktop app that shows your cloud storage as a drive on your computer. Its files take no space on the computer unless you make them available offline. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, with apps for iOS and Android. Sync, a feature inside pCloud Drive, links a folder on your computer with a pCloud folder in both directions; pCloud backup vs sync covers what each one copies and deletes.
On a phone, Automatic upload copies new photos and videos to pCloud, keeping photos at original quality. It is one-way, so photos deleted from the phone stay in pCloud. pCloud Photos is the gallery inside the web and mobile apps, with a timeline view, a map view and a photo editor, and pCloud lists it among the features included with every Premium plan.
pCloud plans, the free Basic account and Lifetime
pCloud has three personal plans: Premium at 500 GB, Premium Plus at 2 TB and Ultra at 10 TB. Premium 500 GB is $4.99 a month billed monthly, $49.99 a year billed yearly or $219 one-time, as listed on pCloud's US pricing page on 3 October 2026. pCloud pricing has every plan. Family is a Lifetime-only plan for the owner and up to 4 other people, each with a private account.
Lifetime means the owner's lifetime or 99 years, whichever is shorter, per pCloud's terms, and those terms let pCloud change or discontinue the service. pCloud's paid personal plans come with a 14-day money-back guarantee rather than a free trial.
Pick pCloud to keep photos and files in one account you can pay for monthly, yearly or once. Pick Google Drive for one storage pool shared by Gmail, Photos and Drive: Google says its storage is shared across those services.
pCloud data regions: United States or European Union
According to pCloud, your files are stored in the United States (Dallas, Texas) or the European Union (Luxembourg), as you choose just before sign-up. pCloud says changing region later is a paid service, allowed once every 3 months per account, and a move loses your current Rewind history, the view of your account as it was at a past date.
The region also limits sharing. Invite to folder, a shared folder for people who also have a pCloud account, works only between accounts in the same region. Shared links work across regions, and for someone in another region pCloud points to a shared link with upload turned on. A family sharing one folder should sign up in the same region.
